About me

You found me!

My name is Aihoa (pronounced EYE-hwa) and I created Food With Aihoa to share my food experiments and favorite recipes.

I currently live in New Hampshire with my boyfriend, who, in addition to eagerly and happily devouring ALL of the food in this blog, has helped make putting this blog together tons of fun every step of the way. So, a BIG heartfelt thank you to him.

A little bit about Food With Aihoa - scrumptious, mouthwatering foods are just a few clicks and ingredients away (not to pat myself too much on the back or anything. I like to maintain a healthy sense of humility). So please, take a look around. Pour a beverage and find tonight’s meal.

Enjoy!

Aihoa

Want to know more about me? Here are some random facts in no particular order:

  1. I didn't learn how to swim until after I turned 24.
  2. Despite not knowing how to swim until after I turned 24, all my favorite activities since I was a little kid have always been water activities (especially jet skiing).
  3. My favorite color is purple.
  4. I used to like whiskey and have since transitioned to scotch.
  5. Wine is growing on me, much to my boyfriend's horror.
  6. I like my eggs scrambled, sprinkled with black pepper, and covered in a "healthy" amount of Frank's Red Hot Sauce.
  7. I am the proud owner of a Kawasaki Ninja 300.
  8. I am too short (5' 0") to ride the factory-built Kawasaki Ninja. The dealership had to lower the bike several inches when they built it for me, and even in heels it can sometimes be difficult on non-flat ground, but I manage because it's fun. :)
  9. I like having plants and flowers around the house.
  10. My current favorite flower is the anthurium.
  11. My boyfriend refers to any flowers and plants I own as "sacrificial flowers" or "sacrificial plants". I like to think that it's because they're sacrifices in exchange for his happiness, but the reality is the longest I have ever been able to keep any plant alive (by far) is 8 and a half months.
  12. My name is Vietnamese. It means Love (Ai) Flower (Hoa). Many people have asked if it's Hawaiian.
  13. My dream puppy is a Samoyed.
  14. French fries are my downfall.
